Finished silhouettes

This are the last and final pieces from my silhouette. This is probably the most useful and enriching project I have ever worked on. I just purchashed "Complete Costume History" http://www.amazon.com/Complete-History-Vollstandige-Kostumgeschichte-Historique/dp/3822850950/sr=8-6/qid=1159500540/ref=sr_1_6/002-5870214-7626464?ie=UTF8&s=books and along with this silhouette technique, character designs come so much easier it shouldn't be allowed. From this project I am confident I have 2 characters that satisfy my personal requirements for my thesis project next year (definately follow this blog for the development of my thesis pre-vis). Enjoy

wine bottle design

This is my first attempt at package design. I really appreciate simplicity in design after this, and would have pulled back this concept. I learned a whole lot about digial texture from this, though. .......And yes Somerbosch is a real wine from Africa.

character design silhouettes

Some of my more successful silhouettes to help my character designs, along with a temporary (or not) template I will use from now on. I'm real excited about the next step which is to select a couple of the most interesting silhouettes and explore different characters that can result from the shapes. Great great tool. I plan on doing these before any character design situation.

Trenches

Layout in Photoshop for trench project. Looked to Andrei Riabovitchev (Russia) for background style. I really enjoyed the shape exploration so expect a lot more similar to this. Thanks.

Self Portrait

Self portrait in photoshop...really enjoyed doing this one. Thanks to James Jean, Jon Foster, and David Malan for inspiration, all amazing artists.

design variations

Character design variations for first semester CA (computer animation) final character. I have to pick the design to finalize in about two hours haha. Will post progress of this project.

Words of wisdom

"I was either watching a Disney or Pixar film or 2 every night without the sound on. Often in slow mo."
